Goodman’s treasure – P5: Blockchain application in photography

In the recent years, the term “blockchain” could be very familiar to many. It’s the foundation of what is the world’s most well known crypto currency – Bitcoin. Blockchain data is not easy to be hacked, it has the most complicated and unpredictable data structure.

Therefore, blockchain data is also used in digital documents, and now, certificate of authenticity.

The exhibit prints from Goodman’s treasure series will be dual authenticated, that is, authentication documents will be available in 2 formats: traditional documents (paper documents) and blockchain technology records (digital documents). Dual authentication solution is applied by Hoa Ta Gallery (Vietnam), powered by Artory (USA, Germany).

In addition, the works in the exhibition are printed with museum quality standards, using Hahnemuhle Baryta 315gsm paper and LUCIA Pro ink, printed in limited quantities.

The exhibit prints could be the first Vietnamese photography works to be encrypted with blockchain technology. Therefore, when you collect these works, you also contribute to the efforts to build a more transparent art industry in Vietnam.

In addition, with support from Noirfoto, the works are specially priced during the exhibition (From the 4th of July to the 8th of August 2020).

Isn’t this time a great opportunity to collect photography in Vietnam?

With blockchain authentication technology and museum-quality printing process, it is all a stepping stone for Vietnamese photography to enter the international art market.
